Waterloo North Hydro (WNH), in the City of Waterloo, Township of Wellesley and the Township of Woolwich is serving approximately 57,500 customers, delivering energy across a large urban and rural service area spanning 683 square km. Waterloo North Hydro provides 24/7 service to their customers, delivering the electricity needed for their homes, schools and business.

Waterloo North Hydro had been using Domino server as their standard service for emails, appointments and contact management. Management and IT recognized the need to upgrade to a more current solution to improve productivity and meet the demands of a modern workforce.

Dalikoo started the migration by assessing the scope and requirements, assigning local resources, and establishing intuitive channels to allow all involved parties to collaborate on the project. The complex project entailed migration of live records between 2 disctinct enviromments, therefore true collaboration and real time communications were key to its success. Dalikoo’s approach consists of background migration that allows for constant data validation without any interruptions to the business. Within weeks all data was validated and WNH users were ready to switch over. Training was provided before cutover and significantly reduced users’ questions and issues. WNH was successful in utilizing their new environment across all departments immediately after cutover.
